Getting the best picture quality

To get the best quality picture out of your existing TV or projector, or, if you plan on investing into a new flat screen TV or projector and screen, it’s important to understand the key ingredients and “secrets” of TV and projector image quality. We call them “secrets” because the majority of people, and even most professionals in the AV industry, do not fully understand them or know how they can be optimized and combined to form an amazing viewing experience.

Whether it’s for a great movie experience, boardroom presentation, or ultimate game marathon, understanding and applying these secrets can make a huge difference in the total experience.

These “best picture” fundamentals, and learning how each manufacturer applies them to their models and products, are crucial to understanding electronically generated digital images. As you will see, the ability to achieve these secrets is directly related to how manufacturers price their products. There are, of course, always exceptions and that’s why a knowledge of these fundamentals could save you a considerable amount of money if you know how to compare the various manufacturers and how they implement these secrets.
