The AJ-HDC27 VariCam HD
Cinema Camera brings variable frame rate acquisition to
the DVCPRO HD product line up. This is the first high definition
production camera that is capable of variable frame rate
at the touch of a button. Individual frame rates may be
selected from: 4-fps to 60-fps in single frame increments.
Frame rates may be changed during recording. Designed as
a high quality production camera, this native 720p camcorder
can be used for 60-fps or the film-like 24-fps acquisition.
When acquiring for 24-fps projects, higher than 24-fps operation
can be processed for slow motion effects while slower than
24-fps operation can be processed to speed up motion. Additionally,
the variable frame rates and related variable shutter speeds
create some very interesting ghost like motion blur effects,
warp speed zoom effects, and long exposure still shots typical
of what one might see in music videos, sci-fi dramas and
dream sequences. |
This full 2/3" DVCPRO
HD camcorder records pristine 100Mbps HD images in any of
11 video formats, encompassing 60Hz and 50Hz production.
The versatile, cost-effective camera provides higher-quality
4:2:2 intra-frame recording that holds up through layers
of special effects, graphic overlays and constant editing

| The PMW-EX1 XDCAM EX Camcorder
is Sony's exciting new addition to our XDCAM family of professional
tapeless acquisition tools and our first offering in the
XDCAM EX series of products. The PMW-EX1 utilizes Sony's
three newly designed 1/2-inch type "Exmor"™
CMOS sensors, each with an effective pixel count of 1920
x 1080. Coupled with our newly developed signal processing
LSI, the PMW-EX1 produces truly exceptional images in 1080p,
720p and 1080i HD. Using another new Sony innovation, the
SxS Memory Card flash memory device, very high data transfer
speeds are also made possible in order to enhance the High
Defintion content creation workflow. Utilizing the MPEG-2
Long GOP CODEC to achieve a balance of quality and the required
bit rate, the PMW-EX1 boasts a long recording time - approximately
140 minutes using two 16GB SxS Memory Cards. Additionally,
the PMW-EX1 offers a powerful Slow & Quick Motion feature,
or what is more commonly known as "over-cranking"
and "under-cranking", to enable users to create
slow and fast motion special effects. The PMW-EX1 XDCAM

Sony’s top-of-the-line
XDCAM® HD422 Series is being embraced around the world
for its file-based recording capability utilizing high-capacity
and highly reliable Professional Disc™ media. Thanks
to its newly developed MPEG HD422 codec, the XDCAM HD422
Series provides high quality video and audio recording capabilities,
with an image resolution of 1920 x 1080 and eight-channel
24-bit uncompressed audio. Now, Sony is proud to announce
two new powerful additions to the series – the PDW-F800
camcorder and the PDW-F1600 deck. They both offer multi-format
recording flexibility as standard – including SD recording
and a frame rate of 23.98P in 1080 mode. The PDW-F800 camcorder
builds on the features of the PDW-700 camcorder. Enhanced
functions, such as Slow & Quick Motion (over-crank and
under-crank recording), make the PDW-F800 ideal for cinema
and TV drama productions, as well as ENG applications. |

The PMW-EX30 deck
is a highly versatile and affordable compact recording deck,
and can be used for many different applications. It allows
simple viewing of recorded materials with a monitor, dubbing
to other format/media such as HDV™, XDCAM HD and HDCAM™,
and feeding to nonlinear editing systems. In addition, the
PMW-EX30 deck can be used as an affordable full HD recorder
for event recordings – it can record HD signal outputs
from a switcher. The PMW-EX30 deck is equipped with a wide
array of interfaces including HD-SDI input and output, HDMI
output, HD analog component, composite outputs and more. Equipped
with two SxS PRO memory card slots, the PMW-EX30 deck can
record up to 140 minutes of HD footage using two 16-GB SxS
PRO memory cards (in SP mode). The recording time can be further
extended up to approximately 260 minutes when an optional
PHU-60K professional hard disk unit is attached to the PMW-EX30
deck. |
The PDW-HD1500 is
a compact HD recorder which provides outstanding picture quality
of MPEG HD422 as well as an eight-channel (HD-SDI), 24-bit
audio recording capability. What's unique about this deck
is its ability to operate on AC, DC or power. With its large
4.3-inch* LCD and built-in speaker, it performs as a versatile
and high-quality recorder which is suitable for both in-house
and field operations. It comes equipped with a multi-format
up/down converter, which is highly useful when employing both
